Science Park Testing Facilities

Expanded testing facilities at Science Park support early-stage and growth bioscience companies through contract research services.

Research companies on site are working on a range of new products, including the invention of synthetic vaccines, microbiome therapies to treat inflammatory diseases, new drugs that degrade disease-causing proteins related to cancer and neuro-degenerative diseases, and small molecule structures that help immune systems fight off threats from cancer to COVID-19.

Equipment and Buildout

Supported in ECIC’s first year, grant costs included sterilization equipment, instrumentation, and biograde construction materials that doubled contract research capacity on-site.

fueling growing companies

Since 2017, companies supported by Science Park’s testing facilities have added 157 jobs and received $142.9m in equity investments. In addition, one company had a $120m IPO and another received a $5m grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for COVID-19 research.
